No Country For Old Men

Good: Javier Bardem

Bad: No Rooms for Tommy Lee Jones & Woody Harrelson

The movie is delivering a message of how voilence in the world, no longer a world for people to live.

Javier Bardem,Josh Brolin & Woody Harrelson are surivors from vietnam war, they both brush lives aside.As a result, u can see the directors is trying to deliver an antiwar message.

According to the movie, Tommy Lee Jones is supposed to be the leading role, however, besides couple boring scripts, he has got nothing else. I think maybe there's a possibilty to cut down some bloody scene and relocate the spot light a bit to Tommy Lee Jones & Woody Harrelson.

Javier Bardem is acting amazingly good. Not sure whether he was taking drugs when he's been taken the shoots, those freaky smiles......just scared me off!

I couldnt count how many people were killed in the movie. I'm not sure the directors is trying to prevent violence or encourage voilence?

周生很多的電影都可以一看再看又再看,至於CJ7,恐怕並沒有這個意欲.
電影不可以說是差,但是驚喜欠奉.除了周生,當中無論故事,角色,對白,特技,場景及配樂,都不是一部值千萬票房的電影.周生一向以對白及拿捏時間準確取勝,但今趟只顧委身為綠葉,退位讓賢; 還記得的,除了拍蟑螂及那段富教育意義,重複又重複的對白外,便只有全片極為不順耳的配音.徐嬌做得好,但她並不是我們最渴望看到的.至於極為重要的醜角,亦不及從前般忍唆.把有錢人定位為歹角,同樣再不是什麼高明手法.配樂一向是周生電影裡的弱項,但請不要再重複又重複,可知道很多人都記得相當熟.
看得出周生受國內市場所顧慮,再沒有從前的誇張,但是誇張才看得過癮,相信國內迷上周生亦是因為這個原因.說是轉形,有意灌輸正確價值觀予下一代,我想這就是最大的可取之處.

Of course the movie is inferior to the novel, but it's still a good movie!
Understand it's not easy to find an artist with harelips, but the image of Hassan has been strongly projected in my mind....but anyway, the little kid is acting great as well.
128mins is not enough for the director to deliver the story, somehow it's a bit piece & piece, but I still can see his sincerity and u won't waste your 128mins.

The Diving Bell & The Butterfly
Good: Detailed shooting/ Touching music
Bad: -

The story is inspiring.
Although it's just a simple principle of treasuring our life, we still dont know to learn thanksgiving while we're capable to make decision. A sad story defined in a humor way; couple scenes make you laugh and couple scenes make u cry.
Very detailed shooting to experience if u only have one eye. Touching background music, specially the ending song....stay on my seat until the credit lines' ended.

Bad: Cutesie movie

Or I have too much expectation before I watched the movie. The only scene I still kept in mind is Hilary was trying to keep her tears in her eyes during Gerard's funeral. After receiving the first letter, the movie started running out of track...to be honest, those tricks didn't touch me at all... I would say if u really wanna encourage the one u love, u can do it everyday while u're being with her, not after passing away romantically....
yeah...I know....it's just a movie...

Juno
Good: Scripts
Bad: Story line between Juno & the adopted father

I love Juno! She's straight forward/ brave/ impressive/ responsible......
As an essayistic movie, script is playing an important role, and u would find the movie is full of impressive scripts.
It's satirical that even a teenager has more guts than a matured couple...at least she's willing to clean up her own mess....however, her paycheck is to hand over her own treasure to someone else. She just didn't know how hurtful it is until she gave birth to the child.
Movie is not supposed to play a moral role. As an adult, u're matured enough to define true or false; as a parent, you're supposed to keep in touch with the flooded information in the market, to lead your childern but not avoiding them to touch it.
again, it's just a movie.
